Bib & t-shirt..nothing special..

der Pacemakers group picture..
This was my most frustrated race since I started running. On that morning, everything was not going well.
I was informed by one of the FTAAA’s officer that the race started at 7.50 am, but at 7.20 am they have already called for all ‘A’ participants to line up at the starting line. Shit! I haven’t done any warming up and stretching yet! Quickly, I went for easy jog for 2 - 3 mins and then did a few simple stretching..DAMN!! those were not enough! [insert TNS CCB here] to FTAAA. I also told Pm1 the wrong info that the race was supposed to start at 7.50 am, and I felt bad after that..sorry Captain, that was FTAAA’s fault!
The race started at 7.30 am and everybody ran like a mad cow. The first km, I could follow Loco Lai’s butt (my target..haha..) very close, then after that I had to slow down coz the trail shoes I was wearing felt very heavy, like a stone tied to my legs..that was my mistake and I should have wore my racer..!! [insert sob sob here] Captain, you were right, trail shoes are heavy!! Same race next year, I will make SURE to wear a racer..!!
I managed to get close to Kenny Tan before entering the jungle near Padang Merbuk and it was here the disaster happened!! Halfway in the jungle, suddenly, I could hear some people in front of me shouting! What was going on?? I was confused for a moment. Later, we came out from the jungle to the road nearby and then, I knew that we ran on the wrong route..!! There were about 15 to 20 people there, and some were still shouting and some were cursing to the organiser (including me lah..haha..). I believed, we lost about 4 to 5 min of our precious time there before we finally found the right route.. [insert TNS CCB here again] to FTAAA..!!
My spirit and motivation to ‘pia kau kau lat’ at this race dropped to ‘0’. What I wanted that time was to finish the race quickly. I ran at a comfortable pace, overtook Kenny Tan, and a few slow runners. Just before entering the LG, Kenny Tan overtook me with a strong pace, and cos of my low spirit, I didn’t dare to chase him. Reached the ‘confused’ finishing line finally, and my timing was 50 min 48 sec with the position of no. 43 (sapu lantai again..!!).
