Headed to KLCC around 6.30 am and reached KLCC parking lot around 7 am. I was wearing the red color t-shirt coz I didn’t have any red color vest (red, for our team color). Tq Ina, for lending me your t-shirt.
Run one lap at KLCC Park as a warming-up. A few minutes later, Ronnie arrived & then, joined him to run for another lap. After that took the power gel with the endurance drink.
After a short briefing by Ronnie, it was time to start the run.The first runner lined up at the starting line. Our team first runner’s was Aeow. Around 7.30 am, Rohaizad flagged off the race. As the second runner, I was told to be ready at the exchange zone to receive the baton from the first runner.
This was my first time running at the KLCC Park & it was hard for me to predict exactly how fast or how much effort should I put into each lap.
Finally, Aeow arrived (5th at that time) & handed the baton to me. I ran without thinking much, put around 80-90 percent of my effort. The first lap, I managed to overtake 2 runners from OX team, Joey & Say Li. However, the team from der Young & Dangerous & der Fantastic Four teams, Kevin & Ryan, didn’t give me any mercy, they overtook me easily. My official timing for the first lap was 5:43.
The second lap, the position was still the same, 5th. This time I tried to increase the pace but I had no more energy. I maintained my pace until the last 50 meters. Then, I put all my effort and started to sprint until the end. Passed the baton smoothly to Eddy & then, started to catch my breath. My leg was shaking at that time. My official timing for my second lap was 5:51 & the total timing was 11:34.
Eddy managed to overtake Lai from der Cheras team & maintained it to the 4th position. The last runner, William also maintained the 4th position until the finishing line. Our team’s total timing for this race was 44:51 for the distance of 10.4 km.
After the race over, we received the trophies from the organizer & it was handed by Rohaizad, who was the main sponsor of the event.

Lastly, thanks to the organiser (especially PM1 & the Race Director, DK) for inviting us, der Pacemaker’s Fren’z to participate in the event. I’m looking forward to join the next PAR III 2007.TQ.
